i just installed my mtech front bumper and one of the middle sensors was a pain in the ass to put in, i guess i pressed it a little too hard or something because now none of them work, not even the rear sensors, i didnt even mess with the rear. anyone know what this could be from? if i somehow damaged that one sensor wouldnt the other ones still function? i checked the fuse and everything looks good, i replaced it just in case but still no go. i get the vehicle image on the screen but no sound or indicators, just a pdc malfunction warning on the dash. please help

There is one main connector that link all 4 PDC sensors into the car somewhere under the headlight, did you hook that one back?

Make sure the main connector is plugged back in correctly. If it's plugged in, unplug it and replug it back in.

i remember plugging it in, ill try tp unplug and plug back in tomorrow, hopefully i can still get to it cuz the bumper is already on. could this cause the rear ones not to work though?

btw: if need be, where can i buy a new sensor other that the dealer of course. im pretty sure the one i was having a hard time with got damaged. also if i take out the bad one will the other ones work?

When I had my body shop install my M-Tech kit on my other car, it had 2 different connections; one for the rear and one for the front. However, I'm sure it all goes to one source, which might be where the problem resides.

well i disconnected the main connector and plugged it back in tightly but its still not working, just the image on the screen with no indicators and no beeping. i dont know what else to do, i dont really want to pay $120 per hour of labor to have this problem diagnosed.

When I had my Mtech installed, my PDC did not work at all. I had it diagnosed and got an error code showing that one of the 2 front left sensors had a problem. (error was something to negative and tech said it could only mean one thing that there is a kink or bad connection). I took it back to SonicMS and it turned out they did not plug one of the front left connectors in completely. They plugged it in all the way, and everything worked...

So I can at least confirm that in an 08 535i if one sensor is not working, none of them work. All I got was a PDC malfunction and it was useless until the front left was fixed.....

Hope that helps...
