The radiator in my 06 550i recently failed and was replaced by my Indie. Got it back and was receiving PDC error with blinking green light. Mechanic checked and confirmed that everything was properly reconnected after the radiator r&r, however am still receiving the console diagnostic that the PDC is not functioning. Based on previous statements on this thread is this an indication that at least 2 of the sensors are in fail mode?

If you have decent hearing, you can stick your ear up to the sensors and hear them faintly clicking. In the wife's E63 the bad sensor is clearly silent compared to the others. This was confirmed by the BMW DIS software which reported that particular sensor was non-functioning.

I ordered the replacement (painted in the correct color) for about $60 shipped on eBay (came from Germany).

I have a strange PDC problem. after PDC controller get washed with water in spare tier boot, I replaced the controller with another used one I got from junkyard. the new controller has the same serial and part number registered in the car (obtained through DIS). Now the PDC is functioning well when I engage the R gear, all sensors are working perfectly and the car display is showing the obstacles warnings correctly.

The problem is that the button in the center console is no more activating/deactivating the PDC function, and when PDC is active the led light of the button is no more operating.
I checked the car through DIS, and it shows the following CAN error "9E29 CAN: PDC: display function".
I checked the button and LED functions through DIS, and I can see that button is becoming active when I press it, and the LED is working fine through the LED test.
Any idea what could be the problem, and how to resolve it?

Default old but relevent

I know this thread dates back to last year, but what's the sense in opening a new thread right?
I have (my mate has ) a 520d 2011 year and warning message comes up on i-drive as no warnings being received from pdc-- I followed all the steps mentioned here and didnt solve the problem, I did however discover that 1 of the rear sensors was not clicking, could 1 of these being faulty throw up that issue?
many thanks.

Clear all faults in the car. Are you saying button doesn't work or it's just not active

All faults are cleare 9E29 can't be cleared. The problem is that the button in the center console is no more activating/deactivating the PDC function, and when PDC is active the led light of the button is no more operating.
CAN error "9E29 CAN: PDC: display function".

Here's the easy way to find the problem:
1) Turn on the PDC so that you see the flashing green light
2) Put your ear to each sensor and listen for a "click click click click..." sound

If you find one sensor that is bad - examine it closely and see if there is anything 'stuck' in the gap otherwise you may need to replace it.
If all the sensors in the front or rear bumper are not clicking then the connector may be loose or have been damaged.

(Source: I've rebuilt my PDC wiring harness and replaced sensors...)
what if all sensors are clicking and still have the malfunction?
