Unhappy

I just got my car (530i) back from the dealer after the first service appt (12K miles) and the updated the iDrive with 13.2 due to the emissions recall.

It seems that ever since that the audio distance detection of the PDC is slower (less sensitive) than before.

In addition, I seem to get other beeps (alarms) when driving but nothing that I have seen or heard before. The check systems shows nothing. This latest alarm has occurred a number of times, ~ 3 times.

Has anyone else experienced these quirks?

i get the same feel too - now with 13.3 - nothing has changed.
original PDC was much more sensitive.

what other alarms are you talking about? from the PDC?
or other chimes

-if latter: check if CLOCK MEMO is on - that sounds three short chimes every hour
-speed limit?

The clock memo was new to me too! I thought "now what's wrong" when I first heard it. Not a good feeling. Seems I've been trained to expect problems.

I thought v14 was out already? Anyone with v14 have any comments on the PDC response time?

I finally figured out the alarm was indeed the hour chime.

I've been trying to quantify the PDC sensitivity issue. If I approach the car with PDC engaged, it seems to pick up an obstruction. I am not certain if it truly is my being sensitive to things going wrong or something truly being amiss.
