This happened once before, and it never happened again.............untill tonight. It will not stay up. It keeps stopping 3/4 of the way up and then reverses itself untill it's open all the way. Thank god I live 1/4 mi. from work...it's freezing out. Even the heated seats and wheel won't keep me warm. WTF?

Had one in the shop today. Most of the BMW's have whats called a anti-trap strip made into the door edge protection that goes around the opening of the body of the car. That way if fingers, arms, head, etc are in the way of the window rolling up, it will sense it and roll the window back down. Want a part number?

Wasnt trying to be a A**hole JT. Just letting you know I would look up the number if you requested. It could possibly be an issue with the programming as well.

The first two sentences were pretty amusing.....

Same trouble with the passenger side window every now and then. It usually occurs when I use the auto up feature. Try putting the window up manually then stopping then once again going up again.

Still plan to have it checked by the dealer, but somehow, the problem seems to have resolved itself.
