Default Passenger side restraint error all at once

My 06 530 done done something strange the other day. My daughter was with me in Des moines and was in heavy traffic so I stomped the throttle to get out on the freeway and at that moment I heard the chime sound. once on the freeway I looked and the seatbelt and airbag light was on. The message on the I drive was saying it had an error with the passenger side restrain system. Reading possible causes of seat belt tension sensor and airbag fault and a couple other things. It did it at the exact moment when I nailed the gas to the floor. Anyway drove it home and we unbuckled our seatbelts and turned the car off. Started it back up and has been fine ever since. Any idea what could of happened? Even though it's fine now I checked the codes with bmw logger and it has no codes of any kind.

Most probably your passenger weight sensor is starting to go bad. It will start to pop up once every couple of weeks then every week then every couple of days then once a day then its stuck ! this is from experience. I just unplugged it and coded it out. It could be from the acceleration jerk that weight shifted on the seat and caused the error. The sensors go out because the mat itself breaks a bit.

Though this is the most common problem it could be something else, pull some codes and the problem will show itself.
