Thanks all and yes that was the issue, L to R. This is my first BMW and my first car with so many electronic "doodads" that a training session should be a requirement of ownership. Hell even after going through my owners manual I still cannot figure out how to "raise and lower" my headrest !

You raise and lower it by the knobs on the seat. Sit in the set and as you would adjust the seat you use the same ones to adjust the headrest. Just push down or up and the move automatically. Or should I say "slide" up and down. Which ever you prefer.

hold down DSC for 5 seconds to fully deactivate traction control. then, hit the gas.

Headrest up-down is done by sliding the switch part representing seat back up and down.
My FAVORITE part of comfort seats is the articulation of backrest. I'm no hulky type but the tops of seat backs often push me forward enough to make me less than comfortable. Tipping the top part of seat back rearward a smidge fixes that.

I will have to check this out of the car for a visual.
lbredefe,
I have fun without abusing my car and as someone who is in law enforcement the last thing I need is being caught acting a fool.
