I have a 04 525 and it seems like I have the 3 wire one which seems like much more work than the 2 wire once since you have to solder, etc. Anyone have pix as to precisely where I have to look in the passenger side and what to cut, etc

Anyone know what the sensor actually looks like? I am thinking of replacing it all together by removing the seat and wiring up the new sensor and putting everything back again.
Summer project for sure.

The sensor mat is like the entire bottom of the seat if you're talking about ripping out the entire faulty part. its like part 3

BMW 5 Series E60 E61 Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor Bypass Mat Emulator from eBay. INPA cleared the fault when I restarted the car. Hope it stays that way .
