After the passenger adjusts is seat and sets backrest width, when he/she opens door the backrest opens to allow easy access. The problem is when he/she gets back to the car the back the backrest doesn?t resume previous position, as it happens with drivers seat. One has to press memory button to recall backrest width! Is it the same with every one or am I missing something?

Resurrected...

Does anyone know if this is normal for the passenger seat?

I don't think that is normal... My passenger seat tightening and relaxing is associated with the seatbelt engagement. When the seat belt is unlocked the seat relaxes and then returns to the last memory setting when the seatbelt is locked. I have a LCI if that matters...

Mine is the same. Pre LCI.

Interesting. Mine both work well but both drivers and passengers 'relax' only when car door is opened. 2008 LCI
My steering wheel only goes up when door opened as well.
Both seats squeeze and wheel lowers when car started.

I misspoke myself this time.
I tried it today. My 'relax' and rising wheel occur when the stop button is pushed on drivers side but 'relax' on passenger side only when their door is opened. Seat belt on or off doesn't do anything. It appears I normally shut off the car and open the car door immediatewly so didn't notice the difference. Sorry about that.
