Passenger airbag light question

My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.
The light is supposed to be on if no one sits there, and turns off once it sense a passenger?
For my car, the light never turns on regardless if there's a passenger or not. No idrive error or anything.
It doesn't think someone sits there since the seatbelt doesn't ding (it does ding when my wife sits there and forgot to buckle up).
Wonder if that airbag light just got burned out?
Alright maybe I should have the dealer check it during my next oil change...

My Ride: 2007 530i. Purchased 6/28/07. Titanium Silver Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar Trim, Steptronic, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Bluetooth, Adaptive Control Xenons. 10/30/07 Added OEM 124s with 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. There was a recall bulletin http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26179745/ but not sure if you're included since you have an '07. Worth checking into anyway, I suppose. GL

It would have been listed as an option on the sticker. Or, you can call a local dealer with your VIN and they can check. GL.
