So the dealer calls me and says there is no fault with idrive or the sensor. It may be a "faulty light bulb" for the AIR BAG OFF light.

Oh yeah, that rattle/sqweek in the rear that I thought was a door seal or rear deck problem tirns out to be a faulty loud speaker for anyone who is interested and has the same porblem.
