Hi,

Does anyone have any more information about the type of particulate filter that is mounted on the newer E60 diesels? I think that I have read somewhere that it was a Bosch filter, but if anyone has any more info I would be really interested to hear more about it!

Cheers!

Thanks, but the particulate filter is a built in long-time filter that does not need to be changed. I am more interested in how the filter works (i.e. from what I have heard it is cleaned from particles that are filtered out from the diesel exhaust gases every 2000 km or so by increasing the exhaust gas temperatures). I would though be very interested if someone has a link or a document describing the technology behind the filter in more detail...

Cheers!
