When i have my parking lights set to on and shut the engine off and lock the car, the parking light stays on, is this normal? Or should it shut off after certain time? Thanks 07 530i

They will turn off, when your battery is exhausted. BTW.

+1.

Plus, you should get a warning chime and a light symbol warning on the dash/iDrive when you take out your key and open your door with the lights set to parking.

So the answer to your question is yes, it is normal for parking lights to stay on if you leave the switch in parking position.
