I was wondering if anyone knew what color corresponds to what distance? Like red with constant tone is <1 ft, etc. I tried to search the forum but couldnt find it. Thanks in advance!

I would assume that the pictogram of the car is in proportion to the size of the coloured indicators.

I wouldn't assume that -- although I've not done it, I imagine it would be pretty simple to just take some manual measurements...

Obviously, ricochet does.

My only wish is that PDC should go full alert and full red only once you're an inch or so away from the obstacle, not feet away.

For me full alert / full red is about 15cm which is close enough for me.

Same here. I have another wish though - that it would pick up lower obstacles like curbs as well. I guess the will eventually fit a couple of sensors lower down and probably give some distance readout on the screen.

10-4 on curbs. So far only one slight encounter, but my E39 stayed banged up. Cost me three outside temperature replacements. That was one of my primary hopes in ordering PDC was to locate the curbs.
