Park Distance Control vs. Euro style license plate

Spyder44, you're correct. When you do a ED, BMW installs a normal-sized European plate, but they have to slightly bend each end of the plate outward so that it does not interfer with the PDC sensors. It may not look perfect, but it does work.

Not correct. Number plates provided in Freimann are not the same size. Smaller in fact in width.
The license plate here in Europe fits perfect on the E60 without any problems..
Here's a picture of our front when the car was a Swedish citizen:

And here now with a picture of the car being a Danish citizen (the licens plates in DK is a big shorter than the EU versions, but they are wider):

Hi,
Actually you don't need a frame, just put your plate directly onto the bumper. I have not seen any of the european E60's having a licence plate holder.
When I bought a 530d I got a plate mould to shape the plate to fit perfectly onto the bumper.

Workin on the picture.....will attempt when I get home this evening. Am driving the Land Rover today as in some serious blizzard conditions. I am sure my beloved 5er could have hacked it, but....better in my garage than someone elses....

Joy of Joys. Thought I'd leave the 5er in the garage today though. No need to chance it when there is a perfectly good LR3 sitting there beggin to be driven...Supposed to get a foot today....thought I might skive off work early, take a picture of the plate and then go to 7 springs
