I did order one...it takes 2-3 weeks to get it since it's being delivered from Germany.
Actually, I am kinda glad that the whole is from a small plate and not from the long German one

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
I don't get it: Is that wall sensor supposed to be reflecting off your plate? If so, it's in sore need of realignment.
On the other hand, looks like the only damage is sheetrock, and that's no big deal. FWIW, BMW park control would not have been activated without going into reverse to trigger it. I guess they figure you're, well, um, sensible enough to see where you are headed.
Kiss the wall and make up.

My stop light is activated by a sensor when the bumper gets close to it...the red light came on. The red light did come on...however, I kept driving

I guess I stand corrected. I have never noticed mine signaling forward obstacles unless I have been in reverse to trigger the sensors.
Sounds like yours does too...

Cheers,

My Ride: E60 "Stripper"
Now C6 "Stripper"
Hmmm you need some new sheetrock...
Your garage looks nice, kinda like my living room!
Put a huge stuffed animal as a bumper stop.

Im genuinely surprised noone has resorted to the 'typical woman hitting a wall'
At least there was no damage to the car and youve also given yourself a little bit more space by the looks of the dent

OK guys, I have to admit, Park Distance Control would have helped
I thought that the stop light would serve the purpose. boy, was I wrong...
the questions is who's fault is it me not getting the Park Distance Control option or the stupid license plate???

My Ride: Booked: E70n X5 40d M. Carbonblack, oyster, comfortseats, Nav Pro, Active Drive, Panoramic, Hifi PRO DSP, HUD, Alutrim, Satin ext, gloss rails, towconnector, elctric lid, alarm and more.
FS: E61 535D -06, Activesteering, Comfort seats, Hifi, M-steeringwheel, PDC, Rails, Tinted windows, Folding mirrors, Towconnector, Alu trims, Panoramic roof, ISO FIX, SonyEricsson BT-HF, 124 wheels, Alarm, Electric lid, Aburn interior, Xenons, Silvergrey and the crappy cupholders!!!
I have to get the PDC on all our cars from now. Last winter I had my wifes Peugeot to a parking and ran over a concreate block so half the passenger side had to be replaced. Since then I get to hear that I have to be carful when parking, even I'm to park on a empty ballpark.
So Miss 525i, you're not alone...
The 5-series PDC works really good and it canbe activated manually if you need assistance in tight parkings and so. Strange that cheap things like the PDC is not fitted as standard.

My Ride: 2008 M5 -- Exterior: Silverstone, Interior: Black. Fully Loaded. That just about sums it up! :-)
Man do I hate driving by braille.... :'(
I did something on my 328i -- I chalked it up to being tired that day....
Looks like you hit something much softer than your front bumper. This is a good thing.
You're not hurt which is a good thing.
Good Luck.
