Hello members,
I am upgrading to M5tech front bumper and Mtech rear bumper.
a body shop quoted me $900 for painting and installation both front n rear.

Is this a good price?? it sounds really high to me.
if you guys could share ur cost for painting n installation I would really appreciate that. thank you.

That sounds pretty reasonable to me.

That might be a little high, but if they are using a quality paint, flexible primer, etc. (basically doing it right with good color match - doing a "spray out") then it might not be too bad...you get what you pay for!

thats sounds about right to me, but I suppose everyone charges at a different rate. Usually it's like 70-80 bucks an hour. I'm not sure how the breakdown is calculated, but 900 painted and installed is not bad. It could be better, but if the work is sub par then I would complain my ass off.

thank you guys. I would like to ask one more question.
I dont kno if u have read my other thread about my car accident, someone hit my front bumper and it need to be replaced.
anyways I havnt decide yet what to do but here are my options:

1- replace the bumper with stock bumper (I already found a bumper as my color in excellent condition here in my city) the seller is asking $100
2- replace just the front bumper with M5 tech, total cost about $850.
3- replace front and rear with Mtech, total cost about $1600-1700. (the rear bumper is in good shape, has no hits)

what make it hard to choice either option 2 or 3 is that am selling the car in june or july 2012 for sure. and if I dont do the upgrade I will lose my money in stupid things maybe in vegas lol
so does it really worth to do option 2 or 3 or not?? and thank you again for reading and responding.

btw I claimed her(the girl who hit me) insurance company and they are going to send me a $700 check this week. so if I go with option 2 I would only pay $150 and for option 3 I would pay $1000 out of my pocket

If you are going to get rid of the car I would guess almost none will notice or care that you have just spent $1000 for those front and rear bumpers.
