Paint/Lacquer off Bumper

Just realised a piece of lacquer has come off on my front bumper. No sign of why its happened, maybe stone chip? Haven't washed my car in a while with the cold weather, so excuse the dirt on the car. See photo below of the missing piece of lacquer.
Shall I just leave it as is? Or get some lacquer and touch it up?

I had a small scrape on my bumper as well. But the problem is that the lacquer paint does not look good for metallic paints when done by hand. I used a small brush and painted some on, but it became very dark as the metal particles aligned in one direction from the brush and looked very dark.
The one thing I did was to paint it on, then as it dried, I 'dabbed' the surface of the paint and it became much more the like the lighter surrounding paint.
But the best way to decide is to move away from the car and see if you can see the blemish, if not maybe you shouldn't bother with it. Also, there is nothing to rust on that bumper, so it's purely visual and your choice.

I agree with gdavis. I had a small nick on my trunk lid under the license plate from contacting a garage hinge when I opened with the gd gd closed. I looked at it for months and finally decided to use the touch up that I picked up when I bought the car. It looks worse.

Thanks for the responses.
As suggested there's nothing to rust on the bumper, so I might leave it as is. I'm still curious as to how it happened as there is no scrape or contact on the bumper in that area. It seems like it just peeled off.
