this morning when I'm on my way to work, my car made the warning sound, and I saw a triangle with a snow flake in the middle. I look and it have a message "outside temperature 37F" I looked everywhere in the manual to see what does that mean, and there is no mentioning. It's like when i car the car "limit" set and it make the sound when it get there. Is there anyway for me to change the outside temp warning? is it normal or is it telling me something?

It's a preset warning to alert you to a temperature drop that may accompany roadway icing concerns. It is NOT adjustable and it cannot be defeated. It's been that way on every BMW I've owned since 1986!!

It's simply a warning that there might be ice on the roadway, and that you should be aware of it! It is a normal occurrence and as far as I know, cannot be changed!

Its telling you to skip work and go snowboarding...
hahah ya its just a feature in all BMWs and MINIs and I'm guessing maybe even in the Rolls Royce and old Land Rovers.

I find this feature extremely annoying. I can figure out myself that it's getting nippy out.
