My Ride: Currently: (3/1/06) 2002 530i black on black prem, sport, cold, xenon.

Car was kicked out of the womb yesterday, 3/26. Now patiently waiting for a carrier to the states.

Figure 4 more weeks to go, especially with Aero kit at VPC.

No way am I going to make it.

I guess next step is to find out what ship it will be on and when. I already called sales rep.

Patience is a virtue.

I understand it's hard to wait. My wife thought I was nuts b/c I kept the brochure in the nightstand and looked at it every night. Well worth the weight, though.

NUTS? Ha, my wife thinks I have gone insane. I keep trying to tell her its my mid life crisis and better than getting a mistress. I keep the accessories catalog in the house and keep asking what she thinks of 19" 166 rims. I'm seriously demented.

Three resons:

1) I had waaaaaaaaaaaay too many problems with my 545i (engine/ gearbox etc.). There are multiple threads about this. At this point, I just want to get rid of it as fast as possible and make a new start

2) I simply don't have the money to buy a 550i right now (it was 10k more than the 530i).

3) I drive about 7000 miles per year, mainly city driving. The 530i is plenty of power for me. What matters more for me is the handling (I LOVE active steering and the sports suspension/active body roll control!)
