No pics, still. I'll put up a gallery soon, I promise. I'm going to install the CPT9000 eject box today or tomorrow and get the car recoded next week or the week after. Of course, the CDV comes out on Wednesday.
Miscellaneous rusings:
I love having a car where you want to take the long way to work. I can't imagine having a car that is a driving "appliance" and being satisfied. Our BMW's are alive and want their legs stretched and their muscles flexed. My route in today took me through a nice long left hand sweeper at about 70mph with absolutely no body roll; a good hard left-hand sweeper at about 60mph with no body roll; a semi-tight uphill chicane where the lone car in the right lane was braking while I was accelerating. What a rush!
I LOVE THIS CAR!
The Logic7 audio is excellent. I was listening to Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound of Thunder Disc 2 on the way in and the bass guitar in the intro to "Time" is simply outstanding. I think I heard (and felt) every pass of the string over the pickup as it vibrated. Highs, like high-hat drums and lead guitar are perfect; not too bright and tinny, but very clear and crsip. I had the system cranked up with no discernable distortion or fading.
I LOVE THIS CAR!
Did you all know that in the power sport seats in US models, you can adjust the height of the headrest by sliding the backrest button up and down? And the headrest does tilt/pivot, just not in the same manner as previous BMW headrests.
I know that this thread is worthless without pics, so when I go home at lunch to watch the US Open, I will take some to satiate your collective voracious appetite for pictures.

Mr. B,
I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing you like your new car, right?

The ED pics in my diary only represent about 45% of the total pics that we took. I think we had over 200 developed on Shutterfly, but the ones I put in the diary were the best.
I'll get some more up, I promise, especially of some of the DIY things, like the CPT9000 eject box install, and the CDV mod.
I did replace the shifter knob with the poplar/leather one and it looks _much_ better than the stock matte chrome/leather one. I'd like to investigate changing the steering wheel trim pieces that are in that matte-chrome to plain black. I don't think that matte chrome look "goes" in a car with the poplar trim.

Icy, you can edit any post you made -- man, without that feature, I don't know what I'd do!
