Angry

It is totally unbelievable. So I was driving on Rt. 3 this morning. The car in front of me drove on a flat stone or sth. like that and crashed it. The crashed flying debris hit my front bumper and caused some deep scratches. You can see on the pics they are not very long but fairly deep. Does anyone know how much it may cost to get it fixed? In this case, will my insurance comp cover the cost? Thanks!

oh, and what dealer/body shop are good at this kind of fix? Thanks guys!

I do not think that damage is woth going through insurance. Your deductible might even be higher than the damage. I have similar damage on my current car and the body shop quoted me $450 CAD to sand, prime, and paint the bumper to factory fresh. This is in Toronto, Canada.

Are you sure that was caused by flying debris?? Those look like scratches caused by scraping up against something, not by crushes pieces of flying rock. It's ok...I won't tell your insurance agent

Thank you guys for the replies.

Refujeet, I was thinking about the same thing so I will get a couple estimates first.

Big Jim, I hear you but don't blame you. If I had experienced it, I would have hard time to imagine it too. But it just happened. The crashed flying stone or whatever should have hit other cars too because it was rush hour. Now I know what is called "bad luck" :'(
