Yeah I'm already contemplating DMS If you don't mind me asking, how much is the DMS remap - do they still do an "E60.Net Forum" discount?

I'm going for the normal non-sport gearbox, I just don't ever ever put my current 530d in to "manual mode" so didnt see the point. I don't mind it being a little bit slower, but a little bit smoother. But I definitely want POWER. Only other thing I'm worried about is insurance cost change after a remap, and BMW warranty. I know DMS covers anything BMW won't, but it's still a "worry" - I can imagine being stuck with a broken car with BMW saying "it's because of the DMS remap", and on the other hand having DMS say "it's nothing to do with the remap, it's something completely unrelated" ... has this ever happened to anyone?

Russ vocalised my concerns about DMS remapping exactly. Has anyone in practice ever had a problem with BMW detecting it, or worse still invalidating the warranty? Also where are they based?

BTW mine is ordered with the sports box and am quite excited about it, it will be the first decent automatic I've had, apart from an ancient Nissan Pintara when I lived in Oz. Maybe I will rarely use the paddles but even for the few times I do it must be worth it!!

Any chance of forwarding me the PM as well mogsyman?

Saw a couple of your vids on youtube. At least, I assume there's only one Mogsyman with a 535d in the UK.

Post us some new vids soon to show the difference with your remap.

Cheers mate. Will probably PM you closer to the time of delivery to have a chat in more depth about DMS.
Looking forward to the videos!

I think we will set up a "535d UK" sub forum in a couple of months. PS Mogy, now I really do get the feeling I am copying you ... not only have I just ordered the car you've got, but I fly out to the US on Friday...! Florida by any chance??

It would be great if someone could PM me about DMS too actually!

I've had my 535d M-Sport about 6 weeks now, and i love it to bits!! However, i have tried to resist having more power, but Lord, i am weak..
