Order Logic7 or not?

. Have you listened to both systems with your favourite CD? I would strongly suggest you do so before you decide.
As for my opinion, it wasn't worth the extra money. The stock system (your "HiFi") was just fine for me.

The HiFi system works great ! Logic 7 is too expensive for the difference. And you won't use the equalizer functions.
About to order E60 530d manual.

Definitely yes on Logic 7. Not like even a good home system, but still great in one's car.

You need to listen to L7 for yourself at a dealer.
I ordered L7 based only on the rave reviews on this forum. However, I haven't been that impressed by it and I'm not sure if its worth the extra money.

I am about to order a 530xi; so I went to my dealer and asked to listen to both. In the United States, the Logic 7 is $1800 (including the CD changer). I could not hear $1800 worth of difference, and I am usually willing to spend money on audio equipment. I wouldn't do it, but I usually listen to rock or talk. It might make more difference with classical or jazz.

I was in the same boat. For the MY07 E-60's the Logic 7 radio is being offered as a separate option. Don't know the price yet but my guess is around 1200.
I didn't know whether to order it or not, but after reading tons of posts by people trying to retrofit new speakers or the logic 7 itself, i felt the money is well spent. The cost and hassle of trying to improve the car later is excessive so I almost see this as insurance against having to spend more money later.

I have the HiFi option and think its worth the extra money over the std UK system. I listened to L7 for the first time recently and didn't think it was worth the extra ?550 or whatever it costs over HiFi. I thought it offered a little more clarity over the HiFi but that was it. The HiFi system is so good its hard to better it. Listen to both and then decide.
