The orange indicator light won't come off even after locking the car. Is it normal?

Yep. It's normal.
Your car is standby for 15 minutes. After that time it goes to sleep mode and the light is off. Once in a while the car wakes up and checks its systems, so it can happen that you see the light on after hours, and sometimes you see it off. But after parking it stays on for 15 minutes.
