there is an option in the LCI version which is mentioned DVD ready. It means that there is a cable for DVD alread in there.
What does this mean? where goes the cable to? what are teh connectors?
Does somebody has a schema of this?

its back seat entertainment, which you can buy later at a horrible high price on your local bmw dealer.

Yeah, coming from BMW Individual (M that is)... Almost as expensive as some brandnew cars on the market...

I asked the same to my dealer when deciding on the options, but he strongly advised me not to go for that option as it's "only a cable" and if you don't buy the BMW-stuff the only thing needed is the 12V socket behind the front seats, and that's already in place.

As I understand it, it's the cable needed to control the DVD via iDrive. "Das ist alles"...

hmm, this must mean that the multimedia function is available from scratch when ordering the dvd option. (without having to reprogram when buying the screens?)
