is the wood trim, and there's alot of it! I dont think I want to spend $800 to get aluminum. I'm only 35 years old, I dont need "wood" in my car until I'm in my 60's

If I order the aluminum trim from the dealer, can they roll it into my lease payment? This way I'm only paying the % of my lease vs. full cost?

Do you not care for the anthracite wood trim? I'm partially with you...The poplar wood doesn't interest me whatsoever, but I love the look of the anthracite. Especially with the black interior. The anthracite wood just sort of blends nicely.

To answer you question, I believe that you can roll the option into the payment, but I'm not sure that it will residualize fully.

I could live with the grey wood, but I thought it goes away for 2008?

I'm 36 and said "hell with it" and ordered my 550i. Its the premier sedan, excepting the M5. Dont sweat the wood.

I wished aluminum was available also, but the anthracite with black interior is very sweet.

Anthracite looks pretty good with gray interior as well (although I may not be totally objective about this).

Anthracite is the way to go with a black interior - it really blends in and you will never notice it when driving.

Aluminum looks too cheap and too much a la Mitsu Evo IMO.
I almost bought a E86 Z4 Coupe off the lot, but aluminum trim put me away.
5er is a different kind of car.

Well for the MY2008 5 series the anthracite wood trim is gone and the replacement is the bamboo trim, which IMO looks equally good. The anthracite trim doesn't even really look like wood compared to the more brownish wood trim, it's more of a smokey/swirly design. It blends very well with black dakota leather and even better if you opt for the black anthracite headliner!
