Had an issue less than a week after I bought mine with the BST cable being fried and killed the battery. Wasn't covered under warranty so I had to cough up $700 for it after having the car less than 7 days.

I had the same problem with my clock resetting when I got my car a few months ago. It has happened 3 times since. I took my in car in today and they replaced the battery for me under warranty.

this happened to me too after 1 week after i got my car.. it was weired that the battery was dead because the day i got my car (2months ago ) i asked to see the service record and noticed that the battery was changed not to long ago about 4 months prior of me buying it.. but yeah had my car towed and everything.. it was even at the shop for about almost 2 weeks! .. lucky for me my car still was covered under CPO until march (which is in a couple of days )but the battery was replaced under CPO and haven't had any problems since.. ( well at least battery issues, the car is currently at the shop for active steering problems [another long story lol])
but yeah
BMW under warranty and or CPO= Ultimate Driving Machine
Not under any warranty = Break My Wallet!!

^ Yeah which is the reason why i searched for an CPO 550i, and I will certainly sell it before the CPO gives out. Just waiting for my local dealer to call me and give me the break down on this, I spoke with the dealer which i purchased my car from 2 weeks ago, they will reimburse me if they do end up charging me anything. I can say i am extremely satisfied purchasing the car from tenafly bmw for making things right at the end of the day.

CPO is a scam, see another topic somewhere here on "CPO process" where I stated my experience with my 08' 550.

Your stealer may have paperwork (I didn't even have it) which shows car was checked and all that but in reality they not doing anything which costs more than $5 to fix unless it's an apparent/visible problem which can make a car difficult to sell.

And no, a good battery cannot fail in 2 days, it's quite easy to check a battery resource using elementary tests with a proper equipment which every dealer has.

i see showroom cars on chargers. these cars sit for so long sometimes the battereis are just weak. i recently had low battery from messing with my stereo without the car running. drained it dry. gave it a nice slow charge and everything seemed to be kosher
