If you get an 08 5 series without nav, are other things missing, e.g. features absent in the iDrive, etc?

thanks to everyone for your quick responses. I have to get a car in the next 5 days or so . . .

Yeah, I saw that, thx. Anything else? I'm asking because, on the Infiniti G35, if you didn't have nav, you lost prcatically the entire computer system, no touch screen, etc. Wondered if any other features were tied into the nav package.

As far as I know, you can only use voice recognition for a connected BT phone if you don't have nav. For example, with nav., I can control the bluetooth phone, parts of the climate control system, nav. functions, car data, entertainment functions, and vehicle settings. Also, you won't get RTTI(real time traffic information), if you don't have nav.
