One last ? tonight on the "temp gauge"
I've noticed since I took delivery that my "temp gauge" doesn't move.
I mean the hash marks on the tach close to the redline.
I constantly show three hash marks. From stone cold start in 10F weather to fully warm.
Anybody got a theory on that one?
Just curious if I did something wrong during break in

seems like something is wrong. When i start my car up the tacks are around 4-5000 rpms and then when its fully warmed there are three tacks near the redline. On hot days i have 1 or 2 tacks near redline.

Nothing's wrong.... BMW for some reason decided to disable the temp gauge action of the tach... It appears it is the same gauge as in earlier models that did function, but starting in 2008 (or was it 2007?) they are disabled. This is a big mistake in my judgment, in fact in general my biggest disappointment is the lack of analogue gauges.

Where'd you find this out?
