its not that people are shitting on the 528i....its just that guys who are somewhat knowledgeable about cars would know to never ever race anything in a 528i. that car is made as an entry level 5 series for plush amenities, nice ride comfort and first class styling...not for challenging someone off the line.
i think the snickering here is based on the fact that to get a job done, you use the right tool and 528i is not the right tool in the situation u described. sorry dude.

If I were to get anything other than a BMW, it would be an Audi. I think the Quattro is a big advantage over the non X-drive BMWs (at least BMW is not getting on the bandwagon with more X-drive models). It used to be that the ONLY advantage the S4 has over an M3 was the Quattro. but now, the M3 is head and shoulders above the S4.
