Well if you are going to turn the car in in about 2 months time, I would just patch the tires as long as the patching is done on the tread.

But make sure the dealer doesn't mind you returning your car in non-RF as I believe that you have RFT on your car as standard equipment.

Otherwise just patch up the tire and drive carefully in the 2 months.

Ended up going with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s which are are on sale at $197 per tire for 275-35-18s.

I read how these tires have a soft sidewall which concerned me, but I upped the tire pressure to 40psi in the back and don't really notice a difference. The tires have yet to break-in, and I have yet to take any corners aggressively, but as of now, I can't tell a difference. I did a few runs with vegastrashed though and reached some pretty decent speeds and things were fine. Unless one goes to the track, I don't think mismatched tires should pose a problem. Oh and the aggressive tread pattern on these tires are really a plus.

My old, punctured PS2s had plenty of tread and only a very slight air leak, so I did a ton of burnouts before mounting the new tires. Even after about 20 or so of these burnouts, the tread on the PS2s looked fine. I thought I would be able to burn up the tread rather quickly, but I was surprised how well they held up. In the future I won't worry that much about treadwear. Also, I've read how the CDV, won't let you do drop clutch burnouts or starts, but the CDV didn't interfere as far as I can tell. Yeah, never did get that switched out. I have the modified CDV laying around somewhere.

The PS2s were mounted around 25,XXX miles or so and I have about 41000 miles right now. As far as treadwear, I could probably get at least another 7,000 miles or so. For high performance tires that supposedly wear rather quickly, they held up really well. For comparison sake, the stock dunlop runflats wore out much sooner. Even though they were replaced around 25K miles, they should have been replaced long before that. Though, when I first got the car, I may have driven much more aggressively.

I went to america's tire to get them mounted. For two tires, they charged $60 which I thought was rather steep. When it was time to pay though, the guy said it was free of charge. Cool guy.

I'll still be around. Might end up keeping the car, never know....or I might move up to a civic or something.

Either way, I don't think I'll be missed.
