I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.

Door sills are a big problem with these e60s. The dealers not replacing them makes it worser. Having a guest in your car commenting on the squeaks makes you want to not own the car.

I had Advantage BMW fix my moonroof twice . . . twice, there were oil stains on the interior of my car roof. Additionally, they scratched my roof's clearcoat. The doors sill were in twice. All they did was put silicone on it, both at North Houston BMW and Advantage BMW. N. Houston BMW these were new door sills. Lying bastards.

So what do I do now. I just used Lexol leather cleaner to clean the door sill until the next car wash or rain when the door sills starts to squeak AGAIN.

I got a call from BMW Customer Relations few days ago, and explained the situation. The guy told me they will take action, but didn't elaborate. Its really re-assuring that BMW NA is on a lookout for threads like this one, and taking action.
