Old thread now but have you found the problem?
i have exactly the same problem on my car E61 530d 2004 218hp
Oil level sensor fault on dash and more faults on scan: O2 sensor no signal, fuel heater , glow plugs relay and oil level sensor..
Si jamais tu peux me donner une piste je te serai reconnaissant
