Oil Level Sensor Failure?

Here is the problem:
My 2006 525i shows a low oil level. I added one quart. After seven miles of driving the car shows a low level again. I added another quart. After ten miles it is at low again.
The car does not burn oil. I do not see any signs of that. There is no oil leaking out.
Since BMW was smart enough to eliminate the oil dip stick on this car there is no way to check the actual oil level.
There must be a sensor on the motor somewhere.
Has anyone had a failure of this sensor where after a short drive you get a reading of a low engine oil level?
Thanks.

Happened to my 06 525xi 3 times. 1- added oil, 2- software upgrade, 3- Dealer changed oil sensor. I also had the below min oil level message. Advisor said they replaced a good number of them. Everything OK since ( about a month ).

I already faced in my 523i 2006 this low oil , I ve added 1 litre , than after 5 km, the there was "oil too high level" message !!!
The dealer changed the oil sensor and re-programmed the software and every thing is ok since 2 months.

So are these isolated incidents? This problem seems to come up a lot on E90s. I'm wondering if it's the same for E60s as well.
OT I didn't know E90s do not have dipsticks too.

Had several low oil indicators on my 2007 530xi. Mostly occurred after a succession of several short trips. Dealer replaced the oil sensor a few months ago and all has been fine since.

I had the problem on the way home from buying the car. Oil sensor light came on for low oil. Took it back and they drained the oil, then put it back in - still low. Changed out the sensor and got my car back. No further problems.
Just added my first quart at 13K miles. Indicator said add one quart - did so, and came up to full and all green on the indicator.
