So I've been getting a low oil level warning for a few day. Not sure how low but I'm going to add a little just to be safe.
but I cant get the oil cap off. Is their some special way?

If you are getting the indicator, you should add at least a quart. The cap is a twist and pull up; fairly straightforward.

Yea adding oil is pretty easy. I would add a quart, drive it a bit, then check the Services in iDrive oil level to see if you should add some more.

Twist and pull... it looks like a pop up cap like a windshield washer fluid cap but its not... ask me how I know.
