More info on type of e60 and location of the pics would help.

I'm assuming that is the ac compressor we see with the connectors?

I'm not at all familiar with inline 6's but if it's anything like the V8's, then it could be the the vacuum pump or the oil pressure switch. These two are notorious for leaking in the V8's and is directly above the AC compressor. My leak was very similar to yours, with oil all over the bottom of my AC comp and swaybars. Found out my oil pressure switch went bad. So I replaced with a new one and now the garage floor remains spot free. Good luck

This is electric water pump in N52 engine. The pump obviously is not the source of the leak. Get a flashlight and look above the pump.

Your oil filter housing gasket is leaking oil. The oil eventually makes it down by the water pump area and this is what you will see. Ask me how I know...

Just wanted to give you update that the oil leaking is coming from oil housing gasket. My mechanic is charging me $262 for the repair. Thanks
