Last night I noticed a fresh grease/oil puddle (small, like 1.5 inches in diameter) in my garage. Is this in any way normal? Or should I go directly to the dealer for service?

A word of advice, head for the dealer, same thing happened to me after I had my car for 18 days.
Results, they had to put in a complete new engine.

If it was not your avatar dog who did it, then you really need to call your dealer first
and after their instructions maybe drive it there.

If your car leaks that much oil it could be better to tow it to the dealers!

Did anyone at the BMW plant remeber to put the oil plug in???

I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.

Am very curious about these replies from BMW North America Customer Relations. As these forums
do not provide any info on the poster, the only way for BMW to communicate back is by email or PM.

Has anyone actually ever received the promised reply to the initial posting by BMW?

Also with all the issues posted here, you would think that they would have a bit more than 17 posts since 2004.
