I did mine around 5800 or so. I took it to the dealer and the SA actually tried to talk me out of it. I told him I bought the car, I didn't lease it. Besides, I'm willing to pay you the money are you telling me you don't want the business?
With that he said no problem.

Not Necessary, search my posts I posted oil analysis after 8,000km and the oil held up fine. I'm almost due for my second oil change (20,000km will come soon) and I don't think there will be much difference.

^^^ Oil analysis is definitely a good way to figure out exactly how many miles to change oil!!
Mine change at standard dealer interval, but I do think I should change it sooner because of the track days.
I will be getting a lift soon so my oil changes will be that much easier
