Question

my warranty expired. and i know i know ya'll hate for me this, but i plan on getting rid of my car anyday now... which MEANS... i have to fork over $ to get an oil change every so often. i refuse to pay $100 on a freakin oil change at those jiffy/ez lube places. anyone know of a place you can refer me to?

If you are worried about forking $100, you bought the wrong kind of car. That said, if you do plan to use a quick lube or a jiffy lube, do the next owner a favor and buy the appropriate oil from the dealer.
Good luck with the sale.

Ignore all the newbies ddalgi. These guys Are talking out of their asses.
I swear you guys are the biggest lurkers, never comment on anything, and when you do it's to bash/flame new members. the lady asked for a referal if you don't have one stay out of the thread.

I have a good referral but I'm sure Long Beach is out of your way... especially for an oil change.

Charges $125-ish...

Let me know if you want the info.

I hope that was not meant toward's me. In case it was, I don't lurk and actually try to help when I can. Post count means nothing. There are other forums where I have 4000 plus posts but that does not put me above the rest.
It seemed to me that the OP wanted to skimp on maintenance which is not good for anyone. I am trying to protect the next potential buyer from picking up a poorly maintained car. If anything, a new oil change can be used as a selling point and would make the next owner feel much better about the purchase.
In case it wasn't directed toward's me, my apologies.
Regards.

OK, after re-reading the thread, I came to the wrong conclusion. Looks like the OP does not want to go to Jiffy lube and instead is looking for references. Doesn't seem like OP was looking to skimp on maintenance.
My apologies.
Regards.

i do my own oil change on my 550, an it stills costs me $75 for oil and filter. so 100 is not a bad deal, but i'd never go to jiffy.
