Just put some decent oil in there? Silly question

I'm sure when you get your car serviced at BMW they don't ask how you drive to know what oil to put in there

A 0w oil is straight weight oil. It's thin and performs the best in winter. You will hear the difference during startup and cold accelerations.

I'm usually at my destination in under 10 min. so if it's cold, I don't think the car gets warmed enough by the time I get to work in the morning. Lately, i have been going home for lunch so it could be 16 miles in one day.

Car is a 2006 525i with 53K miles. This past year the car was driven for about 9K miles.

I'm debating on Castrol 0-30w European or Mobile 1 0-4w0 European. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks!
Any oil recommended by bmw on bmwusa.com is fine. It's not the oil which matters it's how often you change it - do it every 5-6K and stop worrying about oil brand/type. With your commute time you should be more worried about your battery not getting enough charge, so it will most likely die sooner than it should.
