hey everyone, I acquired 4 e46 m3 wheels and i want to try and fit them on my 525i , i understand the fronts have an offset of ET47 and rears ET 26 and my e60 has ET20 all around, i know the rear's will fit without a problem but the front won't, which spacer would be best for this? thank alot ahead of time .
Heres an amateur picture of my baby

25mm front.Effective offset is then 22mm which should be o.k.
Use a 5mm spacer on the rear if you want to be close to your present offset, sitting 6mm further in on each side will not look good.

E46 M3 Style 163 rims are 8x19 front and 9.5x19 rear,offsets are 47 and 27 respectively.
E46 M3 CSL rims are 8.5x19 front and 9.5x19 rear ,offsets are 44 and 27 respectively.
So,either of these would fit with the spacer sizes 25mm front and 5mm rear.
However, since the OP has a rear offset of 26mm ,he may have replicas so more information would be helpful.
