Got killed today by a brand new WRX STI

SO FRUSTATED RIGHT NOW @()#@!!**()@#

I posted up at a red light, north on Edinger, and Goldenwest.

Turned off DSC, light turned green, slammed it. It was maybe a little less than a quarter mile until the next light so I had to slow down but he was only a 1/4 car length ahead of me. I like how the car chirps shifting into 2nd tho, I think the 20's are slowing me down off the line.

There will be no more of this, I'm focusing on performance mods ASAP.

Ok, I'm done steaming.

Time to get the diff, huh? Let's go.

I think that the 20's could be slowing your performance. I would go with very light BBS 18's and BFG drag radials if you are getting too much wheel spin. If I had to do it over, that is what I would do if my car was a wheel spinner. But, given that I get little wheel spin now anyway, my decision was the right one accidentally. There are no BFG's for our cars in 19's or 20's. Good luck.

Look what I found:
The WRX STI is based on the Impreza WRX platform but is completely re-engineered to provide even higher levels of acceleration, handling and braking performance that challenge the world?s best sports cars. In its first year, the WRX STI won Road & Track magazine?s ?Best Car 2004? Reader?s Choice Award, edging out several dedicated sports cars, including the Porsche 911 GT3.

The Impreza WRX STI is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter DOHC boxer engine producing 300 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 300 lb-ft of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Teamed exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission, the engine can propel the WRX STI from zero-to-60 mph in under five seconds. Power is transferred to all four wheels by a sophisticated Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system with Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) to optimize performance in all conditions.
These new STIs are no joke. I'm certainly not going to be taking one on any time soon without more mods.

Doesn't matter if he used AA or not. He still would have lost. Knowing hollywood, he loves to "launch" to everywhere so I bet he did use AA.

lol... STi's ftw! --> fun cars, but so brutally unrefined! It can be described as raw, untamed, and brutal. Your neck will literally snap back from a stop.

A total embarrassment it was lemme tell you

After the ream-job I wanted to KICK MY OWN ASS

OK Jiio, I think the diff will be going on first as you wish. Any word on the Dinan software yet?

Yup, I used it. The pavement was also a little bit uneven, so I noticed a little more wheelspin than other launches I've used.

I guess this should be added to my KILLED record Znod.. But like I said, it was only by so little(less than half a car length), I think if I had a better start it could have very well been a tie.

Don't matter tho, killed is killed. I definitely want a rematch.

The diff will do it on an SMG--unless you get too much wheel spin. Then, 18's, drag radials, and hope you don't dematerialize your tranny.

My rule on adding a killed depends on whether I knew I was going to lose or not. If I knew I was going to be killed (e.g., racing a Z06), then I wouldn't add a killed. But, if I though the race had some uncertainty, then I would add the killed. I use the same rule, but in "reverse" for kills. So, let me know for sure whether I should add the killed or not. If I add it, then I will note that the race was very close.
