I just had the beast (E60, 545i Sport) in for new rubber and having taken it to the local BMW dealer for a 4 wheel alignment, I saw some GORGEOUS OEM wheels on a new 745i sport (I know, Iknow). After checking in the brochure I see that they are model 252 OEM wheels with what seems to be my size and stagger. My question is: To whom do I speak to check and see if bolt pattern, offset, etc is good for my car, and who is the best source for the 252s? Assuming they fit, of course! Thanks teammates!

Depends on where you are: Gary of Newport BMW (Newport, RI) or Frank from a BMW dealer in Minn (can't remember which one) - each offers 25% discount to forum members. You can check the wheels with the main page of this site (I think they list 7er wheels there) - Good luck

Here are the specs of style 252 wheel.

I think the offsets are too high for E60:
- 8 1/2J X 19 ET:25
- 9 1/2J X 19 ET:39

I thought I saw that the 252s were 18s, did I miss something?

perhaps they come in different sizes, depending on the model...like 128's or 32's.....

F01 7-series light alloy wheel, radial spoke 252

According to a wheel offset calculator:
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
The F01/style 252 wheel would extend 7mm more than the E60/style 128 wheel. This may cause tire rubbing with a lowered suspension.

This is assuming that the bolt pattern and center bore size on the F01 and E60 are the same.

Style 252 wheels would sit more IN than style 128 wheels because of their higher offset.
