I gave 1700 before a brakes need to be change, i look up Hawk HPS reviews, less dust but does not bite as good as oem? Stop tech, one review says Hawks are better from a vendor.
the real best option is OEM but i do hate the brake dust?

i am going to replace my brakes with Hawks next weekend, maybe sooner if i get a chance...I had them in the past and from past experiences i was very happy with them, VERY little dust, no noise, and very little fade. It was on a different make but i was willing to take the risk.if you want to wait, i can report back in a week lol
I got mine for $120 shipped after 10%off and free shipping from R1 concepts with new pair of front sensors. (figured just in case)

Just an FYI since i said i was going to do this...
Had the hawks on for about a week now and put on approximately 350 miles through some of the craziest weather we have had...60 degree temps, 0 degree temps, snow, and heavy rains.
Hawks did just as i expected, i really couldn't tell much of a difference from the stock ones. In my opinion, low speed breaking was a little softer but the higher speed breaking was very predictable and i think it was just as good as stock. Noise wise, so far i cant hear them at all.
Replacement sensors are a must, i dont see how anyone can manage to reuse them, its cheap and well worth the investment.
I also had issues with getting the lug bolts off the car, 4 foot breaker bar did the trick. I was very nervous about doing it since i was worried about the bolts being necked and stretched; however i didn't see any damage. Re-torqued to 90ftlb
Do not forget to have a thick, long, flat screwdriver
7mm Alen head bit...7mm is NOT a standard size bit so heads up on that
flashlight
torque wrench
17mm deep socket

There are other (and cheaper) options than OEM pads that stop well and produce less dust:

Cool carbon have bit less dust than oem. Like them and feel as good or better than oem. Nice quality to boot.
People say greats things about hawk and stoptec pads too.
I've tried low dust ceramics and don't like em. Once your used to and like alot of initial bite, I'm afraid dust will be part of your life.
