In fact I found that Napa 5w30 Fully Syn was a synthetic consisting of Group III and Group IV and therefore better than the Mobil 1 and Castrol oils.
The Mobil 1 0W-40 and GC (German Castrol) 0W-30 are European Formula Grp. IV (PAO) synthetics.

Just received my report from the Blackstone Labs. This is for the Mobil 1 I've been using before I switched to BMW OEM oil.

I don't know how bad this is, so if someone cares to comment, I'll much appreciate

Well, they couldn't recommend Mobil-1 because Mercedes does. The first thing I noticed about BMW after driving Mercedes for 13 years was how everything had to be different, even if subtlety different. From the cruise control (MB accel/set is UP while BMW is Forward) and the cruise control stalk is on top of the turn signal, while BMW is below (and a much more natural position and actuation if you ask me). Recently, when I drove the E350 at the UDE, it was driven home how awkward the MB switchgear was compared to BMW.

This report tells me that running oil longer than 5k miles is not good. I drive highway only. I would need an oil chane every other month.
