The extended recall covers a lot of cars for the passenger set mat. Did you check to see if yours is covered?

Curious if the car has been properly diagnosed and the seat mat was determined to be faulty. I know there are several components that can provide the same indication. I guess, what I am saying is that it would really suck to install this work around then find it doesn't do what you thought it would.

Yes. With the bypass the airbag will always deploy. The bypass has 2 devices to plug in: 1) seat mat emulator and 2) seatbelt simulator. I plugged the seat at emulator and the airbag disabled light turned off sink assume airbag is active. I haven't located the seatbelt simulator plug yet so the chime still rings
