NYS Inspection problem w/SMG
#1
Does anyone know what settings the inspector has to put in the inspection screen to identify the car as an SMG . The inspection computer fails the car but I'm sure the tech is not understanding its an SMG version. I told him to phone the State help center but havnt heard back yet.

Our local car inspection also used to be stoneaged - a few years ago.
The DIN speced OBD plug-ins have been obligary in EU cars since 2001.
The problem your facing has to do with your local inspectors techinical
measurement instruments.
The apparatus do not seem to work as proper as it should

Just have your dealer do it....they'll know the right procedure and they're legally bound to charge the same $37 bucks that everywhere else charges so you won't get ripped off.
