Default NOx catalytic converter

Hi guys new to the forum just bought a 5 series 525 I 2008, I am loving car so far but there a couple of minor niggles, first one when I turn on rear screen demister radio goes all fuzzy, second one is slight noise between 1 and 2rpm , it's like a fan noise, I will post video to this in a bit , which these two things I decided to take to bmw direct to get it checked when they plugged into computer it said cat converter needs replaced, DIAGCODE;d1170_00000000_03_009,

Car has only done 63000 miles, any ideas

Need to try and get this sorted as garage I bought from provide a 3 month warranty, however they are claimed demister is wear and tear ????

Searched the forum but didn't really come up with any answers.ps got a mot done and it passed and there are no lights on dashboard, car sometimes struggles to start for like between 3 and 6 seconds.
