No idea, I am not even trying for the upgrade. I already have Nav and everything, but the stock unit is messed up

Hey Pjinca. If you are planning on trading in your car, just bring it to the dealer. They will never know. Most just have the car looked at for paintwork. Very rarely do they test drive cars. I just traded in my 5er at an Acura dealership, and they didn't even look at it, nevermind drive it. They checked the carfax, thats it.

Granted, they are giving you auction value for the car. But if you are going this route, DO NOT bother fixing it. Tell them at wholesale value, they can expect things to be wrong. Tell them also the car is still warranted with BMW if they wish to have it fixed.

If you are going the trade in route, just get it to the dealership and forget about repairs. lol.

Just as a gauge of what to expect, I traded my 2007 530xi still CPO with 48,500 miles and got 23,700.

Manheim/Galves had the best value at 22,500, so I considered myself lucky.

The resale on these E60s has tanked since the F10 release.

Good luck man!

FYI, just checked galves for you..

If you have 70,000 miles with NAV and Premium, expect 12,000-12,500 for your car on trade.. Of course, give or take a grand.

Its disgusting how these cars depreciate 75%-80% in 5 years.

+1 They took 2 MONTHS to send me the correct intake manifold that I had ordered. Originally sent the single stage manifold and tried to convince me that it was what I had ordered. Finally made it right but SLOW.

We will see what this ends up costing me. Took the car to Southbay Autohaus on Saturday and the CCC is definitely dead. The guys there are great and are looking for a deal for me, keeping my fingers crossed.

While I was there met member IvoryJ (good to meet you Bro), and saw his new RPI exhaust get installed
He has an M5 rep spoiler painted Jet Black for sale is anyone is interested, PM him

In addition to not being able to control your HVAC, you would not be able to control the heat distribution on your heated seats, you would not be able to check your oil level if your car is like mine and has no dipstick. You would not be able to control the radio -presets. You would not be able to see your vehicle service checks - when oil change, brake pads, etc need replaced. I am trying to think of things that you can only see with the i-drive to make your argument better!

Nope, not covered, CPO apparently covers anything that takes an act of God to break and nothing else.
