November sales of the 5 Series were up a healthy 14.8% when compared to November, 2005. YTD sales for the first 11 months of 2006 were also up 6.4% from the comparable period of 2005.
By comparison, November sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were up 26.6% with sales of 4,918 units this month and 3,884 units last November. Sales of the MB E Class were down 2.2% for the first 11 months of 2006.
Please note that I only report the United States sales data.

Wow, 2nd best month ever for E60 sales in the U.S! December, 2005 is the highest month, but the decline from then to now is due to fewer sales of the M5.
